I want to remind everyone that today is the first day of NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month). I love NaNoWriMo, because it forces quantity not quality. The hardest part of writing a novel has to be actually doing it. I should know, because I've never written a novel even though I've started several in my mind.

If you've ever wanted to write a novel, but have been too tired/busy/scared to start, please check them out and consider participating. I'm still considering it. When I get back from DC today I'm going to have a good long heart-to-heart with myself, wherein I try to convince myself that I can do it.

Start here if you've never heard of NaNoWriMo, and haven't a clue what I'm yammering on about.

  1. Thank you for the reminder! While I'm bewildered that it is already November, I am excited about this. I think I mentioned before, I may set a smaller goal - 10,000 names or so? What about you? I think we should really share our stories at the end this year, even if we only get a few thousand words down :) Love you!

  2. Definitely! I still have zero plot, but I'm hoping that won't pose too much of a problem. I'll let you know if I commit to the full 50,000 words or something a bit smaller!
